Happy birthday to my darling!

Sunday was the big day for the fiance, and it was duly celebrated with the world's first gayke! I recently received a cake decorating thingie and we went a little wild with the pink frosting... Just so happens I only had red food colouring in the fridge... As for the little golden sugar pearls, those were done on purpose :) For those more interested in the actual filling, it was a three layer sponge cake with one layer of blueberry jam and one layer of vanilla cream.

So happy 34th my gorgeous darling! I love you!

Dear Nina,
Happy birthday for your fiance!
Loved the fresh homemade pink look of the cake. Did you make the sugar drops yourself? is it caramel or what?

Hello darlings! First off to my kinkajou, thank you a great big bunch and your wishes will be conveyed! (in english)

To my other darling, ralou, welcome to my tiny little kitchen! I hope I won't disappoint you when I say the pearls were bought at the baking isle of the supermarket;) But seeing as you appear to be greek like me, did your mother ever make that homemade cake with the homemade caramel on top, that she crushed and made it to look like shards of glass? My mother used to make that, and she even used some instant coffee in the frosting to make it taste like mocha. Irrelevant, but your question triggered the memory. I should make that cake again...
The rest of what you see is mine though:)
